The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, in Malaysia, has welcomed 5,000 international insurance delegates this week as part of the Chinese life insurance and financial service industry event, International Dragon Award 2013 (IDA 2013).
The ceremony and annual meeting, held 15-18 August, was organised by IMM International and supported by Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB). With the theme ‘Diligence Makes Perfect’, IDA 2013 has welcomed 5,000 delegates from over 16 countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Australia. Speakers included the Chairman of the Phoenix Media Group, Liu Changle and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife – Asia, Robert A. Cook. IDA, established in 1998, carries the objectives of honoring the insurance and financial service professionals. IDA has since recruited 26,000 members from over 100 insurance institutions over 17 countries.
The event is organised by IMM International and supported by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event will comprise 57 sessions of discussions and presentations from 92 speakers. The support from the Malaysian government through MyCEB is a clear indication of the local government’s support towards business events, said one spokesperson.
