With major events cancelling across Europe IMEX in Frankfurt is bucking the trend and is still planning to go-ahead. With IMEX due to take place in the middle of May, the IMEX team continues to plan confidently for the show with NO plans to postpone or cancel.
Coronavirus Impacts European Tourism
France has seen a 30% to 40% fall in tourists following the coronavirus outbreak according to the French Finance minister Bruno Le Maire. The drop off in tourist numbers is seen as posing a major impact on France’s economy. France is one of the most visited countries in the world, and tourism accounts for nearly 8% of its GDP. It is estimated that France welcomes around 2.7 million Chinese tourists to the country each year, but the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak will seriously impact the tourist season of 2020.
IBTM postpones IBTM Asia Pacific 2020

In light of the ongoing Novel Coronavirus, organisers of IT&CM China and CTW China have decided, in the interest, well-being and safety of all valued event delegates and stakeholders, to defer the 2020 event to 3 - 5 August, subject to the recovery and control of the outbreak.
ITB Berlin 2020 Travel Expo Cancelled Due to Coronavirus
Due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Ministry of Economics have stated their opinion that ITB Berlin be cancelled. This evening at 1827 hrs, the responsible health authority of the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Berlin imposed significantly tighter restrictions on holding the event.
